Clinicians tend to hesitate with the HOME health population due to the feeling of limited accessibility from other clinicians when "help" is needed. Maybe even a high percentage of autonomy makes you nervous. However, we are a company who will stand right beside you and help propel you forward to be the best clinician possible for yourself and our clients and families. We allow a partial/full day ride along to help answer questions you may have and see the day to day operations. We provide two weeks of clinical observations with other therapist to assist with comfort, learning, and training. Also, we provide quarterly all staff meetings for professional development and fun. We complete on site visits, video calls during treatment sessions, and 24 hour accessibility to supervising therapist all for teaching for clinician and families.Responsibilities :
physical or occupational therapy screenings following specified screening protocols developed by the supervising Physical/Occupational Therapist ("PT/OT"). Provide direct treatment assistance to clients/patients identified by the supervising PT/OT. Follow documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising PT/OT. Assist the supervising PT/OT during assessment of clients/patients Assist with tallying client/patients responses, prepare therapy materials, schedule activities, prepare charts and assist with other clerical tasks as directed by the supervising PT/OT or practice owner. Perform checks and maintenance of equipment. Assist supervising PT/OT and/ or practice owner with in-service training. Sign treatment notes which must be reviewed and co-signed by the supervising PT/OT. Discuss with the client, caregivers, and Early Interventionists ("EI") results of evaluations/ goals to be addressed, and specifically observed behaviors that have occurred during treatment when such behaviors are supported by documented objective data. Upon assignment of the supervising PT/OT, present information designated in writing by the supervising PT/OT regarding clients/patients progress at staffing meetings and/ or conferences. The successful candidates will also have experience with home health and working with kids, and an outgoing personality will help them effectively communicate with parents as well as patients. Qualifications Associates degree in Physical/Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; current state licensure or registration required. Proven experience working with pediatric populations in outpatient clinics, schools, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pediatric development principles. Experience assisting with gross and fine motor skills of children with diverse needs. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and case management within pediatric healthcare settings. Prior work with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), disabilities, or in early intervention programs is highly desirable. Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating patience and enthusiasm for pediatric care.
