Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient recovery and well-being. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care across diverse settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and acute care hospitals. Your dedication will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and achieve their health goals through personalized therapy interventions. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and modalities under supervision. Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions, documenting progress and communicating updates to the healthcare team. Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility techniques, discharge planning, and post-treatment care strategies. Support discharge planning by coordinating follow-up appointments and home health services as needed. Maintain accurate records of treatments provided, patient responses, and clinical observations in compliance with healthcare regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support effective therapeutic interventions. Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and patient documentation. Experience with outpatient clinics or inpatient settings, especially within orthopedics or geriatrics. Skilled in various therapeutic techniques including trigger point therapy and physiotherapy modalities. Familiarity with care plans tailored for diverse populations such as pediatrics or acute care patients. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in skilled nursing facilities or home health environments. Excellent communication skills for educating patients about treatment procedures and recovery processes. Pay:
$22.25 - $26.80 per hour
