Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, where you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their strength, mobility, and independence. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement personalized care plans across diverse settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, home health environments, and skilled nursing facilities. Your expertise in physiotherapy techniques and patient care will directly contribute to improving patients' quality of life through compassionate support and targeted interventions. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans for patients across various clinical settings. Deliver hands-on therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, therapeutic exercises, and manual mobilizations to promote healing and mobility. Monitor patient progress by documenting responses to treatments and adjusting care strategies accordingly. Educate patients and their families on exercises, activity modifications, and discharge instructions to ensure continuity of care at home or in outpatient settings. Support discharge planning by coordinating with healthcare teams to ensure smooth transitions from hospital to home or other care environments. Maintain accurate medical terminology records and update patient charts in compliance with healthcare regulations. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient goals, progress, and care adjustments. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology essential for effective patient assessment and treatment. Proven experience in physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapies. Familiarity with inpatient, outpatient, acute care, and skilled nursing facility environments. Experience working with diverse populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and individuals requiring rehabilitation after injury or surgery. Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs while supporting discharge planning efforts. Excellent patient care skills combined with compassionate communication to motivate and support patients throughout their recovery journey. Pay:
$32.00 - $37.00 per hour
