This energetic position involves assisting licensed physical therapists in delivering specialized therapy services tailored to children's unique needs. You will work closely with young patients and their families, fostering a positive environment that promotes growth, mobility, and independence. Your contributions will directly impact children's quality of life, helping them achieve their developmental milestones through compassionate care and skilled intervention. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility settings Support therapy sessions by preparing equipment, positioning patients, and ensuring a safe environment for children during exercises and activities Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities under supervision, including trigger point therapy when appropriate, to reduce pain and improve mobility Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate observations to the supervising therapist for ongoing care planning Educate families on home exercise programs, discharge instructions, and safety measures to promote continued progress outside clinical settings Maintain accurate medical terminology records, treatment logs, and care plans aligned with healthcare standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning and coordination of care for pediatric patients with complex needs Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric physiotherapy Familiarity with care plans development and implementation for pediatric populations with diverse conditions such as geriatrics or acute care needs Excellent patient care skills with an empathetic approach to working with children and their families Join us in making a meaningful difference in children's lives by providing expert pediatric physical therapy assistance.
