In this energetic position, you will assist licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and post-acute care facilities. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help patients regain strength, improve function, and achieve their rehabilitation goals. Duties Prepare treatment areas and assist with patient positioning to ensure safety and comfort during therapy sessions Support physical therapists by setting up equipment, applying modalities, and monitoring patient responses during treatments Assist with patient intake procedures, including gathering medical history and explaining therapy plans to patients Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and report any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy equipment and treatment spaces in accordance with hospital or clinic protocols Educate patients on exercises prescribed by the therapist to promote independence and optimal recovery outcomes Support inpatient, outpatient, orthopedics, geriatrics, and post-acute care programs by providing compassionate patient service Experience Prior hospital or clinical experience working with patients in acute care or outpatient settings is highly preferred Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and hospital medicine enhances your ability to support effective therapy sessions Experience with intake procedures and familiarity with inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation processes is advantageous Sub-acute care or post-acute care experience demonstrates your ability to adapt to diverse patient needs Strong understanding of orthopedic, geriatrics, and hospital medicine principles helps deliver specialized patient support Previous exposure to inpatient or outpatient clinics specializing in orthopedics or geriatrics is a plus Embark on a fulfilling career path where your proactive attitude and caring nature contribute directly to patient well-being.
