  • Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our close knit team in Hawkins Texas.
In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in the rehabilitation of patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. Your contributions will be vital in helping patients regain mobility, improve their physical function, and enhance their overall quality of life. Duties Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Provide patient care through therapeutic exercises and modalities, including trigger point therapy. Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in accordance with medical terminology standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Support discharge planning for patients transitioning from acute care or skilled nursing facilities to home health or outpatient services. Engage with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and those requiring orthopedic rehabilitation. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to physical therapy practices. Proficiency in medical terminology to effectively communicate within the healthcare setting. Experience in various settings such as inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, home health, acute care, and outpatient clinics. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and care plan development for diverse patient needs. Ability to provide compassionate patient care while fostering a supportive environment for recovery. Experience with specialized populations including geriatrics and pediatrics is highly desirable. Knowledge of orthopedics and related rehabilitation techniques is a plus.
