Physical Therapy Technician - Rockport Location

Responsibilities Assist physical therapists by preparing treatment areas and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for patient sessions. Support patient intake procedures by gathering relevant medical history and explaining therapy processes clearly and enthusiastically. Help monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, documenting observations accurately to inform treatment plans. Provide hands-on support with therapeutic exercises, modalities, and mobility activities under supervision. Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to safety standards and infection control protocols. Communicate effectively with patients to motivate and encourage their active participation in therapy programs. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and managing supplies to ensure smooth clinic operations. Experience Previous experience working in hospital or clinical settings is highly desirable, especially within inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation environments. Moderate familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is helpful but not required. Experience with orthopedic, geriatrics, or sub-acute care populations will be advantageous for understanding diverse patient needs. Hands-on experience supporting physical therapists in clinics or hospital units demonstrates your readiness to thrive in this role.
