Helping People Stay Independent in the Later Chapters of Life Independence Rehab is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who finds purpose in helping older adults regain mobility, confidence, and dignity. You'll work with residents navigating recovery, chronic conditions, and life transitions - providing therapy that truly changes daily life! Whether you're a new grad looking for mentorship or an experienced PTA wanting a sustainable caseload, Independence Rehab is where clinicians feel supported and patients feel the difference. What a Day Looks Like As a PTA in our geriatric clinics, your day is relationship-driven, collaborative, and clinically meaningful: You'll treat a medically complex geriatric population in a setting where time, clinical reasoning, and compassion are valued. You will be challenged every day! Guiding residents through mobility milestones - first steps, safe transfers, returning home Leading gait, balance, strengthening, and functional training sessions Helping reduce fall risk and build confidence with daily activities Collaborating closely with your PT to adjust care plans Working alongside nursing, OT, and speech to support whole-person recovery Celebrating small wins that matter deeply to patients and families Why Therapists Choose Independence Rehab We're a small, therapist-owned company that runs therapy operations independently - meaning we advocate for clinicians and protect clinical judgment.
