Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy practices, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care across diverse settings. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist in patient rehabilitation, and support recovery processes. This role offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by promoting mobility, function, and overall well-being through expert therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to patient needs. Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain. Support patients during treatment sessions by monitoring progress, ensuring safety, and encouraging adherence to prescribed exercises. Document patient responses and progress accurately in medical records, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Participate in discharge planning by educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and ongoing care strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and clinic environments to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques relevant to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Uphold infection control standards and ensure the safety of both patients and staff during all procedures. Qualifications Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with current licensure or certification as required by state or regional authorities. Demonstrated experience in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other manual therapies. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and care planning processes. Knowledge of specialized areas including orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care settings. Experience working with diverse patient populations requiring tailored treatment approaches. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Pay:
$33.00 - $42.00 per hour
