Support patient care by monitoring progress, providing education on exercises and discharge instructions, and ensuring comfort throughout treatment sessions. Prepare treatment areas, set up equipment, and maintain a clean and safe environment in outpatient clinics or inpatient units. Document patient responses, update progress notes, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status. Participate in discharge planning processes by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions from hospital to home or other care settings. Requirements Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) ; valid state licensure required. New graduates are welcome to apply. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams involved in discharge planning and home health services.
