Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient recovery and well-being. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care in our outpatient clinic. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized care plans for patients of all ages, including geriatrics. Administer therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and modalities under supervision. Support patient care by monitoring progress, providing education on exercises and discharge instructions, and ensuring comfort throughout treatment sessions. Prepare treatment areas, set up equipment, and maintain a clean and safe environment in outpatient clinics or inpatient units. Document patient responses, update progress notes, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status. Participate in discharge planning processes by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions from hospital to home or other care settings. Requirements Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) ; valid state licensure required. New graduates are welcome to apply. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams involved in discharge planning and home health services. Excellent communication skills to educate patients on exercises and treatment goals while fostering a positive environment. Pay:
From $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
