Order and prescribe medicions in accordance with approved trement protocols. Provide consultion, teaching, and coordinion with pients and their family members of trement and medical care. Discrimine between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional or mental problems. Refer extremely or selected complex medical problems to medical management. A Personnel Security Investigion is required. This position may have specific initial background investigion and periodic re-verificion requirements since its duties may require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis. Selectees required to sign a stement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinions or must provide a recognized exemption. This position is a Testing Designed Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees required to consent to participion in random drug urinalysis testing. A pre-placement medical examinion may be required. Immunizion screening may be required. Hepitis B immunizion is required for all positions with direct pient contact. Graduion from a physician assistant educional program, accredited by the Accredition Review Committee on Educion for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors, a college, university, or educional institution th is accredited by an accrediting body or organizion recognized by the U.S. Department of Educion the time the degree was obtained.Certificion:
Successful completion of the Nional Commission on Certificion of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examinion; must maintain stus as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for Continuing Medical Educion (CME) and re-certificion.Licensure:
Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registrion as a Physician Assistant from a Ste, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United Stes.Exemption:
You are exempt from the license requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0603 occupional series and have been continuously employed in this occupional series since September 27, 2017 or before.Note:
