Employer of Excellence The Division of Surgical Oncology at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center continues to experience rapid growth. As part of this growth, we are excited to announce our Advanced Practice Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. Excellent opportunity for a dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a 13-month program providing high level surgical training and specialty specific knowledge to allow the APP fellow to function at the top of their scope of practice upon completion of the program . Qualified candidate is required to be board certified and is expected to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and multidisciplinary care to cancer patients. Our APP is expected to be an active member of the Division and participate in clinical, research and education services provided by Banner MD Anderson Center (BMDACC) at the Gateway Campus in Gilbert, Arizona. NP with RNFA required. Each rotation will have a clinical and didactic component with over 2000 mentored hours in direct patient care.
Subspecialty surgical rotations will include:
breast, colorectal, hepatopancreatobiliary, skin & soft tissue, head & neck, urology, gynecologic oncology, thoracic and complex reconstructive surgery. The last 8 weeks of the program will culminate in a subspecialty area of the fellows choosing to allow them to continue to refine their knowledge in their area of interest.
