Physician Assistant - Pre-Op Clinic About Us Mission Community Hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and fostering a supportive, collaborative workplace. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Pre-Op team. Position Summary The NP or PA will work closely with the surgical team to evaluate patients prior to surgery, complete medical clearances, and help ensure patients are medically optimized for their procedures. This is a great opportunity for a newer provider looking to grow in a supportive surgical environment. Prior RN experience in surgery, ICU, telemetry, or acute care is strongly preferred. Schedule Part-Time Mondays & Tuesdays Day Shift Responsibilities Perform pre-operative patient evaluations and assessments Complete medical clearances for surgical procedures Review patient medical history, medications, labs, EKGs, and diagnostic results Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and specialists Identify and communicate any medical concerns prior to surgery Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the EMR Provide patient education regarding surgical preparation and follow-up recommendations Qualifications Active California NP or PA license required Family Nurse Practitioner preferred New graduates welcome to apply Previous RN experience in surgery, ICU, telemetry, med-surg, or acute care preferred Strong communication and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Pay Transparency Pay range: $55-65/hour depending on experience.
