Location:
Santa Maria, CA Overview:
Our outpatient healthcare practice is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive patient care in a collaborative clinical environment. This role focuses on patient assessments, treatment planning, preventive care, and patient education while supporting continuity of care within an established practice.
Position Offers:
Schedule:
Monday-Wednesday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Competitive compensation of $85-$90 per hour (DOE) Outpatient-only practice setting Flexible weekday schedule with strong work-life balance Supportive and collaborative clinical team Low patient volume focused on quality patient care Immediate opening with long-term opportunity potential Established community-based practice No nights or weekend requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and imaging studies Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to coordinate patient care Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as appropriate
Qualifications:
Current California Physician Assistant license Minimum of 3 years of Physician Assistant experience Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Experience in an outpatient setting preferred Excellent communication and patient education abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
