Job Description

An established urology practice in West Covina, CA is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role. The practice specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating urological conditions including incontinence, erectile dysfunction, infertility, kidney stones, hematuria, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, etc. Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, mix of clinic/OR/hospital. Limited call requirements. New graduates with an interest in urology are encouraged to apply!!
Responsibilities:
Manage and treat patients in clinic Conduct comprehensive urological assessments Order and interpret diagnostic tests Diagnose conditions and formulate treatment plans Assist in robotic, laparoscopic, microscopic and open approach surgical procedures Round on post-operative patients in the hospital Counsel patients on surgical procedures, recovery, etc. Performing procedures including suturing, staple removal, drain removal, foley catheter placement, urethral dilation, etc.
Qualifications:
Active California State License Knowledge of urology, treatments and terminology Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
