Per Diem The Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute at MidState Medical Center is staffed by some of the top orthopaedic specialists in the region. The surgeons, and their patients, also have access to the best-available, robotics-assisted technology for both total joints and spine- that makes a procedure less invasive and more precise.
Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistants Role Scope:
Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s), Advanced Practitioners perform routine physical examinations, and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients. In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Advanced Practitioners develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists. Advanced Practitioners provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider's practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.About Hartford HealthCare:

- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Certified as a Physician Assistant
- Current or eligible CT license
- Minimum of two years or orthopedic or surgical experience required
