Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) Convenient access to Hartford, New Haven, the Connecticut shoreline, and New York City for weekend getaways or cultural events About the Opportunity The Emergency Department offers Physician Assistants the opportunity to practice in a busy Emergency Department with diverse pathology, strong physician collaboration, and excellent specialty support. APPs play an integral role in patient care while working alongside experienced Emergency Medicine physicians in a team-oriented environment. A diverse patient population with a wide range of emergency presentations Strong physician collaboration and a supportive APP care model Manageable patient volumes with efficient workflows designed to support provider longevity This position is well suited for experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants seeking long-term stability in a community-based hospital with strong clinical resources and team support. Position Highlights Earn over $180,000 based on experience plus productivity Additional incentives may include: Productivity bonuses, Citizenship stipends Benefits package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance with 401(k) with employer match and profit sharing, $2,500 annual CME allowance, Coverage for licensing, DEA, and professional memberships Suburban ED with balanced acuity and strong attending support Excellent hospital resources and diverse clinical exposures Minimum of 12 shifts per month - Experienced Emergency Medicine APPs are preferred Waterbury Hospital ED Waterbury Hospital is a 357-bed acute care hospital and ACS Level II Trauma Center serving central Connecticut. Approximately 45,000 annual Emergency Department visits ACS Level II Trauma Center Comprehensive Stroke and Cardiac Care Programs Approximately 36 hours of daily APP coverage Collaborative physician-APP practice model with strong attending support Diverse patient population with broad medical, surgical, and traumatic pathology Robust specialty backup and hospital resources Community & Lifestyle Waterbury, Connecticut is ideally located between Hartford and New Haven, offering the advantages of suburban living with convenient access to major New England cities.
