Location:
Waterbury & Bristol, CT Schedule:
Monday•Friday | 7:30 AM•4:30 PM (No nights, weekends, or on-call) About the Practice We are a premier oncology group serving the Waterbury and Bristol communities. Our practice is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care at the intersection of surgical and medical oncology. We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant who is eager to specialize in the rewarding field of radiation oncology. Role Overview As a Radiation Oncology PA, you will be a vital member of the multidisciplinary care team. The "lion's share" of this role involves the clinical management of patients currently undergoing radiation therapy, as well as conducting comprehensive follow-up and survivorship visits.
Key Responsibilities On-Treatment Management:
Monitor patient tolerance to radiation, manage acute side effects, and provide medical and emotional support throughout the treatment course.
Follow-Up Care:
Conduct surveillance visits for post-treatment patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to monitor for recurrence.
Collaborative Care:
Work closely with Radiation Oncologists to adjust treatment plans and coordinate care with surgical and medical oncology partners.
Patient Advocacy:
Act as a primary point of contact for patients facing significant clinical and personal challenges during their journey. Why Join Us?
