Job Description

Connecticut Asthma & Allergy Center LLC is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our practice.
Educational requirements:
PA degree Current CT licensure Qualifications and experience: Must have completed PA-C school and passed certification examination. Mid-Level experience (Minimum of 2+ years) Ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care Ability to treat patients of all ages Experience working with electronic health record Good communication skills Neat and professional appearance
Clinical Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 100% ambulatory patient care Diagnosis and management of children and adults with allergic disease. Co-management (with supervising physicians) of patients with complex allergic and immunologic diseases including immune deficiencies, asthma, food allergies, atopic dermatitis and hereditary angioedema. Implementation of patient care plans, including the use of biologics (anti-IgE, anti-IL5, anti-IL4/13), monthly infusions (IgG replacement, C1-inhibitor) and allergy immunotherapy. Patient counseling and training Urgent "sick" visits for established patients Patient phone messages at designated times throughout work day All other duties, tasks, and projects as assigned by management Other responsibilities: Patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance guidelines as established by the practice Fluency with computer software as it relates to job functions Attends training programs (CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.) as required by the practice Attends all regular meetings Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations Conducts educational seminars for patients, employers, and others
