Job Description

Job Requirements Health First is seeking a motivated and adaptable APP to join an expanding surgical team. This opportunity offers a well balanced role supporting two surgeons, with involvement in the OR, inpatient care, and clinic, allowing you to be part of the full patient care journey.
Position Overview:
You'll play an integral role in both the OR and patient care continuity, supporting cases from initial consult through post operative follow up. This role offers a balanced mix of surgical, hospital, and clinic exposure, with the opportunity to expand your OR time as block scheduling evolves.
Key Responsibilities:
  • First assist in surgical procedures
  • Perform hospital rounding and consults
  • Manage pre and post operative patient care
  • See new patients, follow ups, and post op visits in clinic
  • Provide coverage across multiple sites as needed
Practice Structure:
  • Monday to Friday schedule with clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Gradual ramp up from clinic focused to increased OR time
  • Patient volume building to approximately 20 patients per day once established
Call Coverage:
  • One week per month of first call for elective and bariatric patients Strong support from a surgicalist APP team Work Experience PA-C or AGACNP Active or be eligible for licensure by the State of Florida Current NCCPA Certification for PAs or ANCC certification for APRNs BLS and ACLS certification Case/Procedure logs for credentialing Benefits Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Paid malpractice insurance CME allowance Strong administrative and clinical support system & MORE!
