Precision Healthcare Specialists (PHS) is currently seeking a certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or licensed Nurse Practitioner (APRN or CNP) for a full-time position in the Lee County area with a focus in Endocrinology specialty. General responsibilities will include seeing patients for routine status checks, assist in office procedures, office and/or telehealth consults and visits, re-evaluations and discharge summaries, while working under the supervision of a physician. Precision Healthcare Specialists focuses on a variety of specialty healthcare areas. We are precisely focused on helping patients connect with the best surgeons and physicians in Southwest Florida.Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients: take history and perform pertinent physical examination in hospital and office setting. Coordinate care of patients. Record and ensure availability and completeness of documentation, reports, and imaging examinations. Provide patient education, counseling, and instruction. Facilitate supervising physician referral of patients to the appropriate health care facilities, agencies, other resources in the community or other physicians. Dictate progress notes, history and physical, and discharge summaries. Administer and/or order medication upon request of supervising physician. Initiate emergency measures on patients as required. Provide in-service and daily consultation to nursing staff. All other specific tasks delegated by supervising physician in accordance with the physician assistant's knowledge and experience developed under the supervising physician in the field of endocrinology. Participate in occasional call coverage (after hours/weekend - by phone). Certifications in insulin pump will be providedRequirements:
Holds a current license and is in good standing. Maintains certification in accordance with Department of Regulations. Able to perform efficiently and effectively. Able to obtain and sustain clinical hospital privileges. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Good diagnostic capabilities. Graduate of an approved program or its equivalent. Meets the standards set by the Board of Medicine.Experience:
