NEW Physician Assistant - Open Heart Surgery (OR) Opportunity | Full-Time | Day Shift A leading, highly respected healthcare system in South Florida is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join their Cardiac Surgery team. This is a full-time, first-shift opportunity working alongside top surgeons in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment.

Schedule:

7:00 AM - 3:30

PM Setting:

Operating Room +

Inpatient/Outpatient Cardiac Surgery Key Responsibilities:

First assist in open heart and cardiac surgical procedures Perform pre-op, intra-op, and post-op patient management Conduct H&Ps, order/interprete labs & diagnostics, and develop care plans Perform inpatient rounding, consults, wound care, and bedside procedures Assist with clinic visits, patient education, and follow-ups Participate in on-call coverage (including nights/weekends) Collaborate closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications:

Master's degree required 5+ years of Advanced Practice Provider (APP) experience Strong cardiac surgery experience required Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) experience required National certification as a Physician Assistant Active licensure + DEA required

BLS & ACLS
