Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physician Assistant specializing in Orthopaedics, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional musculoskeletal care. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced Hospitalist Internal Medicine, Neurosurgeon and multidisciplinary teams ( Physical Therapist, Chiropractor) to provide comprehensive patient assessments, assist in Initial Evaluations and Treatment Plans for patient who have been injured in an accident ( work, auto or slip n Falls). The P.A. will help manage the comprehensive treatment plan which usually runs 6- 8 weeks during their immediate injury. Your expertise will contribute to improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing quality of life for our diverse patient population. Duties Perform detailed patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to determine orthopedic conditions and treatment needs Assist in orthopedic procedures within the facility along side Physical Therapist and Chiropractors and Rehab technicians. Administer injections such as corticosteroids and dermal fillers, including botulinum toxin treatments for muscle spasticity or cosmetic purposes Manage acute pain through appropriate medication administration, including IV infusions and analgesic protocols Conduct diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging reports, radiographs, and clinical data collection to inform treatment plans Provide triage services in outpatient or urgent care settings, prioritizing patient needs based on severity and urgency of injury or illness Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Office Ally , adhering to
AHCA, HIPAA
& Osha regulations Participate in clinical research studies or clinical trials related to orthopaedics or pain management to advance evidence-based practices Educate patients on injury prevention, and rehabilitation strategies while coordinating follow-up appointments Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Experience in orthopaedics, trauma centers (Level I or II), or emergency medicine environments with familiarity in acute care settings Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for medical records management and data collection Experience performing injection administration, and physical examinations with attention to aseptic technique and anatomy knowledge Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology knowledge, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and medication protocols Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams across the facility Excellent patient care skills with a focus on health coaching, infection control practices, and emergency response protocols Join us in making a meaningful difference through energetic engagement and expert patient-centered care.
