Job Description

Meet Dr. Craig S. Radnay, MD, MPH Position Summary Under the supervision of Dr. Radnay, Florida Orthopaedic Institute is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to support a high-volume orthopaedic practice with a focus on foot, ankle, and knee conditions. This role is designed for a clinically confident PA who brings both surgical and clinic experience and is comfortable managing patient care with increasing autonomy. The PA will play a critical role in maintaining clinic flow, managing patient volume, and ensuring continuity of care across the patient journey. This position includes a structured onboarding and training period, with the expectation that the PA will transition into a high level of independence in the clinic setting once fully ramped. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced orthopaedic PA seeking a long-term role within a collaborative, physician-led practice that values clinical ownership, efficiency, and strong patient relationships. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current Florida licensure as a Physician Assistant NCCPA certification required Minimum of 3-5 years of orthopaedic experience strongly preferred
Required:
Experience in both clinical and surgical orthopaedic settings
Preferred:
Experience with foot, ankle, and/or knee conditions Demonstrated ability to manage patients independently in a high-volume clinic environment Experience with injections and in-office orthopaedic procedures Strong clinical judgment, efficiency, and patient communication skills BLS required (ACLS preferred) Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive patient care in both clinic and surgical settings, including pre-operative and post-operative management Conduct detailed patient histories, physical exams, and orthopaedic evaluations with a focus on foot, ankle, and knee conditions Independently manage clinic schedules following training, including new patient visits, follow-ups, and post-operative care Review and interpret diagnostic imaging, including X-rays, MRI, and CT scans Perform in-office procedures and injections (foot, ankle, knee, and other joints as appropriate) Serve as first assist in the operating room, including surgical exposure, assistance, and closure Participate in post-operative rounds and care coordination as needed Field patient calls and address clinical concerns in collaboration with the physician and care team Apply and remove splints, braces, boots, and other orthopaedic devices Accurately document all encounters, procedures, and treatment plans in the EMR Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, rehabilitation protocols, and post-operative care Collaborate closely with clinical staff and administrative teams to ensure efficient clinic operations Adhere to FOI standards related to patient safety, professionalism, and quality of care Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development activities Perform other duties as assigned to support practice needs What We Offer Full-time employment with long-term growth potential Competitive compensation with opportunities for productivity-based incentives Comprehensive benefits package Supportive, collaborative work environment within a high-performing orthopaedic practice About Florida Orthopaedic Institute Florida Orthopaedic Institute is committed to delivering world-class orthopaedic care through a collaborative, patient-centered approach.
