Physician Assistant Boone County Family Medicine South
Boone, IA Employment Status:
Full-Time We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our busy, rural, well-established primary care clinic affiliated with Boone County Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Physician who enjoys caring for a diverse patient population in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Position Highlights:
  • Full time position (40 hours per week)
  • Practice in a rural clinic affiliated with a Critical Access Hospital
  • Broad scope of practice with a diverse patient population across the lifespan
  • Strong teamwork with physicians, nursing, and care team members
  • Dragon voice recognition and AI-assisted documentation tools to reduce charting burden and support work-life balance

Compensation and Benefits:

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive primary care services including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care
  • Conduct patient histories, physical exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing care
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and interprofessional team members
  • Utilize Dragon and AI documentation tools to support efficient, high-quality clinical documentation
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current (or ability to obtain) state licensure in the state of Iowa
  • CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Primary care experience is preferred, but new graduates with strong interest in primary care are encouraged to apply.
