Job Description

Responsibilities Norton Orthopedic Institute , a part of Norton Healthcare based in Louisville, KY, is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA-C) to join it's growing team on the campus of Norton King's Daughters' Health located in the picturesque river town of Madison, IN, which is approximately one hour from Louisville, KY and one hour and twenty minutes from Cincinnati, OH. Norton Orthopedic Institute's comprehensive team of fellowship-trained physicians and advanced practice providers specializes in adult orthopedic care, including adult total joint replacement, general orthopedics, sports medicine and orthopedic oncology. The team provides services throughout Greater Louisville, supporting Norton Healthcare's system of seven adult acute-care facilities in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Norton Healthcare was the first system in the country to be designated an Advanced Center of Excellence for Orthopedics & Spine by DNV. Norton Healthcare provides nearly 60% of the health care for Greater Louisville, and accounts for nearly 47% of the inpatient and outpatient orthopedic market share. Norton Orthopedic Institute currently uses advanced technology and continues to evaluate opportunities to further support physicians and practitioners. About the
Position:
Position includes operating room (OR), clinic to include some inpatient (IP) rounding Competitive salary model including production bonus in addition to the base salary, relocation reimbursement for those who qualify, continuing medical education (CME) funds, signing bonus and more Additional compensation for quality/key performance indicators Epic implemented throughout the organization Norton King's Daughters' Health provides a variety of health services for patients in southeast Indiana and parts of northern Kentucky. It joined the Louisville, Kentucky-based Norton Healthcare family in 2022. Integrating a family-centered approach to care, Norton King's Daughters' Health offers a wide range of inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, orthopedic, pediatric, cancer care and intensive care services. The 86-bed hospital offers a 24/7 emergency department and a heliport for critical care transport, a comprehensive rehabilitation center with aquatic services, a comprehensive joint replacement program, women's health and maternity services, home health and hospice services and a fully integrated cancer care center within Norton Cancer Institute. In addition to its hospital and outpatient services, Norton King's Daughters' Health provides primary care for patients and families through its provider office locations in Madison, Hanover, Versailles and Vevay, Indiana, as well as in Carrollton and Milton, Kentucky. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is to provide healthcare to patients with an emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, health maintenance, and supportive care. The APRN works independently as well as collaboratively to diagnose, prescribe treatment, manage and evaluate patient care. The APRN functions as an educator, healthcare resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. Applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions; performs other related duties. The APRN demonstrates professional development and clinical competency, knowledge of professional nursing theory, practice, and medical care for patients of all ages according to the practice specialty. Serves in a clinical role to assist the physician in ensuring total patient care. Interacts directly with patients and patient families to maximize quality patient care.
Qualifications Required:
Master Degree in Nursing National Nurse Practitioner (NNP) AND Nurse Practitioner (NP) AND Registered Nurse (RN) OR Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and Registered Nurse (RN)
