Inpatient Emergency Department Responsibilities:

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for: Performing medical screening exams for acute illnesses or injuries Diagnosing and treating a range of conditions Initiating and managing treatment plans Performing procedures such as suturing and wound care Stabilizing patients and assisting in resuscitation

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program Relevant certification (PA-C or NP) Licensed in Massachusetts Experience with EMR systems Ability to perform diagnostic and treatment procedures Strong communication skills Collaboration with healthcare teams Decision-making in high-pressure situations

Relevant advanced degree Additional certifications (PALS, ATLS) Experience in critical care settings Effective patient education abilities
