Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant-Certified (NP) to join our dynamic orthopedic surgery team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients through direct clinical practice, patient education, and collaboration with our surgical and clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Independently assess, diagnose, and manage patients with orthopedic conditions, both pre- and post-operatively.
Cell Therapy Consults:
Conduct thorough histories and physical examinations for patients interested in orthobiologic treatment options. Provide recommendations and schedule procedures as needed.
Collaboration:
Work closely with orthopedic surgeons to develop and implement treatment plans. Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
Patient Education:
Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, post-operative care, and rehabilitation processes.
Surgical Assistance:
Assist in the operating room as needed, supporting the surgical team during procedures.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Follow-Up Care:
Conduct post-operative follow-ups and manage patient inquiries regarding their care.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in nursing (MSN) from an accredited program or Graduated from an accredited PA program by ARC-PA. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA. Prior experience in orthopedic medicine preferred. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
