Job Description

Your job is more than a job. Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Urology Clinic University Medical Center New Orleans | LCMC Health Clinic Setting - M-F University Medical Center New Orleans (UMC), is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Urology Clinic . This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative, patient-centered environment while supporting a diverse and complex patient population. About the Role The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will work closely with Urology physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive outpatient urologic care. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, adaptable, and motivated to grow within an academic setting. Collaborate with Tulane and LSU attendings. Key Responsibilities Provide outpatient evaluation and management of patients with urologic conditions Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and clinical assessments Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and procedures Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians Perform procedures consistent with training and scope of practice Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care Accurately document care in the electronic medical record (Epic) Participate in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary team meetings
Qualifications Required:
Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited college or university (MS-PAS) Current PA License in the State of Louisiana from the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association Current and unrestricted Controlled Dangerous Substance certificate Current and unrestricted DEA registration - LA Active Privileges through
Medical Staff Office Preferred:
