None We are looking for a dedicated Orthopedic Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our OGH healthcare team. The Orthopedic P.A. or Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care in aprehensive healthcare environment, focusing on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patients with musculoskeletal conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedics, excellent patient care skills, and a deep understanding of all aspects of advanced practice nursing within the orthopedic specialty. Responsibilities Conductprehensive patient assessments and create personalized treatment plans. Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other medical professionals to provideprehensive care. Perform joint injections and other orthopedic procedures as required. Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on preventative care, medical conditions, and physical therapy practices. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments as necessary. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records. Ensure that all medical practicesply with federal and state laws and regulations. Stay up-to-date with advancements in orthopedic care and best nursing practices. Qualifications Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license and board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant License Specialty certification in Orthopedics preferred. Proven experience in orthopedic nursing or related field. Kledge of musculoskeletal conditions and treatments, and orthopedic surgical procedures. Excellent patient care skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills. Physical stamina to work long hours on feet. Maintaining up-to-date Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Opelousas General Health System has been providing care since 1957. OGHS is a 181-bed full service medical center asplete and inclusive as any referral hospital in the state. We are the second largest employer in Opelousas, Louisiana with over 1100 employees. OGHS is amunity non-profit rural health systemerned by a local board of directors. Our health system isprised of two hospital campuses and 15+ WellSmart Health primary care and specialty clinics throughout St. Landry, Lafayette and Acadia parishes caring for over 100,000 lives. We currently employ more than 60 providers including: Anesthesiology, Family Medicine, Family Medicine-Obstetrics, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Critical Care, and Rheumatology. We have the latest in robotic technology including DaVinci, MAKO and Excelsius GPS. The hospital is also home to the largest wound care and hyperbaric unit in the region. On the academic side, we currently have 3rd and 4th year medical students from VCOMpleting their rotations throughout our facility. In the near future, Opelousas General Health System will launch its' own Psychiatry Residency Program. Long term plans will also include the addition of a Family Medicine Residency Program.
