Job Description
Surgical Physician Assistant (PA-C) Rockville, Maryland The Innovations Surgery Center (ISC) is seeking an experienced Surgical Physician Assistant to join our nationally recognized minimally invasive gynecologic surgery team in Rockville, Maryland. ISC is the only privately owned ambulatory surgery center in the Washington, DC metropolitan area offering Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery. In collaboration with the physicians of the Center for Innovative GYN Care, we provide advanced gynecologic surgical care to patients from across the United States and internationally. Our surgeons are recognized leaders in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, pioneering innovative techniques that allow women to recover faster and return to their lives sooner. This position offers a unique combination of operating room and perioperative clinical responsibilities in a highly specialized surgical environment, along with an exceptional work-life balance. Position Highlights First-assist in advanced minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic procedures Collaborative practice with experienced surgeons and perioperative teams Outpatient surgical setting No weekends No holidays No call Competitive compensation and benefits Primary Responsibilities Surgical Responsibilities Serve as first assist during robotic and laparoscopic gynecologic procedures Position patients and assist with surgical exposure and visualization Perform tissue handling, suturing, wound closure, and dressing application Assist with patient transfers and operating room workflow Participate in room turnover and quality improvement initiatives Conduct perioperative assessments and history and physical examinations Evaluate patients in recovery and collaborate with surgeons regarding discharge readiness Clinical Responsibilities Provide perioperative patient care and education Prescribe postoperative medications as appropriate Assist with postoperative management and follow-up care Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure exceptional patient outcomes Qualifications Current NCCPA certification Active Maryland Physician Assistant license Minimum of three years of documented surgical physician assistant experience At least one year of Da Vinci robotic surgery experience BLS and ACLS certification required Gynecologic surgical experience strongly preferred Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills Join a practice that is redefining minimally invasive gynecologic surgery while offering an outstanding professional environment and exceptional quality of life.
