Hennepin Healthcare has a current opening for a 0.80 FTE Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant within our Cardiology Division, providing comprehensive care predominately in an ambulatory setting to patients with heart failure (inpatient setting available depending upon applicant interest). We are looking for an advanced practice provider colleague who embodies our values and mission, passion for the care of our patients and wishes to collaborate with our outstanding team to improve cardiac patients' care. Why You'll Love Working at Hennepin Healthcare We strive to provide the highest quality, patient-centered care through a team-based approach Ability to work with patients from diverse socioeconomic, gender, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds Our Cardiology APPs work autonomously, but also have a highly collaborative relationship with our physicians to enhance patient care and for continued learning This position holds day hours Monday - Friday only, no after hours or weekend duties The team consists of 12 physicians and 6 APPs. This position will be teaming with all primary physicians, focusing on patients with heart failure
A 0.80 FTE
holds 29 hours of direct patient care with 40-minute appointments
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant (PA) studies from an accredited program Knowledge of electronic medical documentation system/software (e.g. Epic) Current licensure to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or PA issued by the State of Minnesota (or eligibility) • Alignment with the mission of Hennepin Healthcare Preferred Qualification(s): Prior clinical experience in cardiology inpatient or outpatient practice Please complete an application with both a current CV/resume and letter of interest.
