Job Description

Physician Assistant - Full-Time Position - Raleigh Location Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic, Wake County's oldest and most experienced orthopedic practice is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to work with one of our fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeons specializing in sports medicine, shoulder, hip, and knee arthroscopy, who also serves as a team physician for the Carolina Hurricanes and NC State University.
Position Overview:
The Physician Assistant will work closely with the surgeon and clinical team to provide comprehensive care to sports medicine patients, with a focus on shoulder, hip, and knee conditions and arthroscopic procedures. The role includes responsibilities in both the outpatient clinic and operating room.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage patients in the clinic setting First-assist in the operating room Order and interpret X-rays; independently formulate assessments and plans Participate in postoperative care
Qualifications:
Current Physician Assistant certification and North Carolina licensure required 1-3 years of experience preferred, ideally in an orthopaedic environment Must be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Comfortable ordering and interpreting radiographic studies Strong interpersonal skills and patient/family communication abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
