About this role:
As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in General Surgery, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and an excellent patient experience. In this role, you will support three general trauma surgeons, providing a mix of clinic-based care, hospital rounding, and consult services, with opportunities to participate in the operating room depending on your experience (typically one day per week). You'll play an important role in managing post-operative and follow-up patients while working both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic surgical environment. You'll practice at Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton. You'll work Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no weekend or call responsibilities at this time. You'll practice at the top of your scope with a high level of autonomy while collaborating closely with multiple surgeons. What you'll bring: APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program AANP, ANCC or AAPA certification Active, unobstructed Colorado license, or the ability to obtain one BLS and DEA Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process At least 1 year of experience in a surgical or specialty setting Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings Preferred skills Operating room experience Background in surgical specialties or exposure to surgical patient care Experience with rounding and consults About us: Intermountain Health is a model health system by providing extraordinary care and superior service at an affordable cost.
