We're looking for a Physician Assistant to join our talented team of orthopedic providers. The ideal candidate will bring a focus on quality patient care, positive patient interactions and serve with professionalism. This position is full time, day shift. In addition to being passionate about our work, we also take pride in the communities we serve. Our team of providers are the preferred orthopedic partner of Methodist Health System and serve as the team doctors for Creighton Athletics and the College World Series.
Physician Assistant Responsibilities:
Obtain subjective medical history and perform physical examinations consistently with good judgment to formulate proper medical diagnosis. Order and evaluate necessary laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging studies with good medical judgment. Prescribe medications for treatment of medical conditions. Complete medical and related records on a timely basis. Comply with all personal and administrative policies of the practice. Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with clinic staff and patients.
Qualifications:
NCCPA Certification. Nebraska Physician Assistant License, required. Iowa Physician Assistant License, preferred. Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program. Drug Enforcement Agency License in NE.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Maintain a skill level and working knowledge applicable of a physician assistant with specific references to medical and surgical disease. Maintain required continuing education and skill training for continued licensure and certification.
