What You'll Do:
Perform comprehensive medical screening exams on patients of all ages Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests Prescribe medications and initiate appropriate therapies Provide wound care including suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting Manage minor orthopedic emergencies such as joint dislocations and fractures Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff in patient care Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care Admit patients requiring inpatient care and coordinate specialty referrals as neededWhat You Need:
Master's or Bachelor's degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Nebraska Current NCCPA certification Current ACLS certification Certification in either NRP or PALS Proof of having "monitored" an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course (required for Emergency Department coverage) Minimum 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in an acute care setting Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
