Job Description
Seeking 1 2 Physician Assistants for Cardiothoracic Surgery inpatient coverage , with an immediate start preferred. Practice Setting Inpatient, hospital-based cardiothoracic surgery service No trauma designation Clinical Volume Assist in 2 cardiac surgeries per day Round on 5 12 ICU and floor patients daily Includes consults Schedule Weekday in-house shifts: 8 10 hours (Monday Friday) Night call: 6 PM 6 AM Weekend call: Friday 6 PM through Monday 6 AM Weekend rounding: 7 AM 12 PM Saturday and Sunday Mix of weekday, weekend, and night coverage required Responsibilities First assist in cardiac surgery Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) Chest tube insertions Retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass conduit Rounding and coordination of care Diagnosing and treating illness Ordering/interpreting tests Writing prescriptions Suture removal
