Job Overview:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is an independent health care provider who coordinates care through collaboration with the attending Physician, The PA or APN provides care in accordance with the objectives policies and procedures of the practice and the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner Advisory Committee, The main function of this role is to provide high-quality pre•and post-operative care for surgical patients, The APP will be expected to function as an active member of the surgical team, Responsibilities include initial surgical consultations in the ER and inpatient, pre-operative management, post-operative rounding, wound management and occasional surgical first assisting, The APP will be expected to work to the full extent of their licensure with an emphasis on supervised autonomy,
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required (APN/NP): New Grads will be considered Current APN Certification NJ RN state license CDS DEA Current
BLS/ACLS RNFA
Certification Exception if Surgical NP certification has surgical assist built into program Required (PA): New Grads will be considered Current NCCPA Certification NJ PA License CDS DEA Current

Acute care certification 3-5 years of acute care hospital experience
Scheduling Requirements:
3x 12-hour night shifts per week (7p-7a) Rotating weekends and holidays
