Job Overview:
The Physician Assistant is responsible for performing duties independently following established and standardized procedures and methods. The Physician Assistant provides care through assessment, diagnosis, clinical judgment, and management to restore, maintain, and improve the health status of patients. Participates in the clinical management of orthopedic patients, supporting both surgical and nonsurgical care, while actively engaging with residents and attending physicians in a collaborative learning environment Responsible for hospital-based care including inpatient rounding, emergency room consultations, pre•and post-op management, wound care e,g, dressings, wound vacs, discharges, and occasional surgical assistance Manages care for patients across orthopaedic subspecialties, including total joint replacements hip, knee, shoulder, trauma Level 2, hand, pediatric, and spine cases
