Job Description

Position Summary:
The Physician Assistant (PA) provides comprehensive care to patients in an outpatient setting under the supervision of a licensed physician. Responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, developing treatment plans, providing education, managing follow-up care, and coordinating with other healthcare providers to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct initial and follow-up patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging as needed. Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, procedures, and follow-up care. Document all patient interactions and medical decisions in the electronic medical record (EMR). Manage chronic conditions and perform health maintenance visits. Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans in accordance with protocols and physician guidance. Respond to patient inquiries via phone or secure messaging and coordinate appropriate care or referrals. Communicate with referring and primary care providers regarding patient status and care plans. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Licensed (or eligible) as a Physician Assistant in the state of employment. National certification as a PA (e.g., NCCPA). Proficient in using electronic medical records and standard clinical tools. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills. Salary:
$110,000 to $145,000 per year DOE
