Job Description

Community Care Obstetrics and Gynecology is a leading women's health practice dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered obstetric and gynecologic care across the lifespan. We serve women from adolescence through menopause and beyond, offering comprehensive preventive, surgical, and obstetric services in a collaborative, respectful, and professional environment. Our multidisciplinary team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, and midwives focused on delivering individualized care and advanced services, including in-office procedures and minimally invasive treatments. Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care that aligns with our values of respect, professionalism, and personalized patient partnership. This role is ideal for a compassionate clinician who thrives in a team-oriented setting and is committed to delivering evidence-based women's health care. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal, labor/delivery, and postpartum services. Deliver obstetric care for routine and, as applicable, high-risk pregnancies. Perform routine and advanced gynecologic care, including annual exams, contraceptive counseling, and management of menstrual, reproductive, and menopausal health issues. Diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions; coordinate surgical care and referrals when appropriate. Participate in shared call coverage License and active registration as a physician assistant or registered nurse/nurse practitioner in New York State.
Physician Assistant:
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in physician assistant studies and successful completion of physician assistant training program approved by the NYS Department of Education or accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, or a program that is determined by the Department to be the substantial equivalent of a licensure qualifying or accredited program. Attainment of passing grade on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Current certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. At least one year of experience as a physician assistant in ambulatory health care. Current CPR certification.
Nurse Practitioner:
Successful completion of and graduation from a nurse practitioner education program acceptable to NYSED. Current certification as a nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Successful completion of pharmacology coursework acceptable to NYSED. Three years of professional nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred. At least one year of experience as a nurse practitioner in ambulatory health care. Current CPR certification.
