County Correctional Biweekly Hours:
80.00 MetroHealth's Division of Correctional Medicine seeks a night shift Advanced Practice Provider for the Cuyahoga County Jail. There is a wide range of presentations in the jail necessitating broad knowledge and experience in general and urgent care medicine. The patient population is medically diverse and rewarding. If you have a passion for caring for the underserved and appreciate the challenge of the setting, where presentations can mask deeper medical problems with great need, we want you. Nurse Practitioner required credentials:
  • Graduate of an accredited DNP or MSN Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program
  • Current RN and APRN license in the state of Ohio
  • Board Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in specialty.
  • Current BLS
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtains within first year of practice
  • Meets the requirements/qualifications for medical staff clinical privileges in the specialty/department within MetroHealth Maintains a standard care arrangement with physician and renews as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing Physician Assistant required credentials:
  • Graduate of an accredited Doctoral or MS Physician Assistant program.
  • Current PA licensure in the State of Ohio.
  • Board Certification as a Physician Assistant from NCCP
  • Current BLS
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtains within first year of practice
  • Meets the requirements/qualifications for medical staff clinical privileges in the specialty/department within MetroHealth Maintains a supervision agreement with physician and renews as required by the Ohio Board of Medicine APPs at MetroHealth are afforded voting membership within the medical staff.
