The ideal candidate must be available Monday-Friday and every other Saturday. This position is not benefits eligible and we are not hiring weekend only applicants.

Highlights of position:

Part time (25 hours per week) 8 hour shifts 90-day financial bonus

Responsibilities:

Perform employer-based DOT and pre-employment physicals Perform medical evaluation on all walk-in patients Perform procedures such as laceration repair, abscess drainage, ingrown toenail removal and splinting, pap smear Follow up patients with sensitive or send-out test results Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care Required qualifications: Must have completed 500 hours post-graduation evaluation to be considered Physician Assistant-Certified Licensed to practice in Ohio Must be a DOT-certified FMCSA examiner, or willing to study for and pass the NRCME examination 2+ year experience in urgent care mandatory Must work 1 to 2 weekends per month, depending on clinic's need. DEA license is required Characteristics and skills desired of our new hire: Team player Can work in a fast paced urgent care environment Ability to task switch efficiently between minor complaints such as rash, upper respiratory infection, muscle sprains and urinary tract infections, as well as moderate complaints such as abscesses and lacerations requiring drainage and repair. Splints for orthopedic injuries
