Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physician Chaperone / Assistant, where your role is vital in ensuring a safe, respectful, and professional environment during patient examinations and procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with physicians across various specialties, providing essential support that enhances patient care and maintains clinical integrity. Paid position with comprehensive training provided, ideal for individuals passionate about supporting medical teams and patient well-being. No Weekends, Holidays or nights.
GENERAL SUMMARY
: Chaperones are widely used for gynecological and intimate examinations. A chaperone may support the patient with reassurance and emotional support during a procedure or examination that the patient may find embarrassing or uncomfortable. Chaperones may also provide practical help to the provider during an examination or procedure. In other clinical settings the chaperone could protect the provider from physical attack. As a witness, the chaperone can help the provider disprove unfounded allegations having been present during a procedure and verify continuing consent. Duties 1. Provides practical assistance and act as witness for provider during exams and consultations. 2. Supports the patient with reassurance and emotional support during procedure or examination. 3. Assist the nurse in obtaining patient vitals. 4. Obtain patient's height and weight. 5. Set up patient rooms for the day. 6. Turnover rooms after examinations and prepare room for next patient or close down at the end of the day. 7. Removes specimens and places at nurse station for setup nurses to deliver to the Lab. 8. Cleans instruments, prepares for and processes in autoclave. 9. Assist in unpacking supplies and restocking the patient rooms as needed. 10. Put instruments away after processing. 11. Perform basic lab tests such as urine dip stick. 12. Assist with procedure setup and clean up. 13. Administer injections as certification or licensure allows. 14. Conforms to all HIPPA regulations for patient privacy, billing compliance and safety guidelines. 15. Needs to be flexible for schedule changes.

Interact with patients in a tactful, patient and kind manner. 8. Possibility of being pulled to other departments as needed. 9. Other duties as assigned
Pay:
$11.00 - $12.00 per hour
