• Foster Work Supportive Environment Position Summary Work twelve-hour shifts at the discretion of the director of emergency services.

Evaluate all patients that present to the emergency department. Perform triage, initial evaluation, and diagnostic testing as necessary for all patients. Formulate diagnosis and treatment plans under the supervision of their primary or alternate supervising physician. Facilitate transfers to other facilities as necessary. Position Accountabilities 1. Through the emergency room the physician assistant will provide initial triage assessment and physician examination of all patients presenting for treatment. The PA will order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and formulate treatment plans for the patient under supervision of the attending physician. 2. The PA will admit patients to the appropriate physician's service from the emergency room and under the direction of his/her supervising physician will follow the patient while in the hospital. 3. The PA will serve on any and all hospital committees required by the director of emergency services and hospital administration. 4. The PA will maintain educational requirements as delineated by the Oklahoma State Law. 5. The PA shall practice on a full-time basis and is expected to work a minimum of thirty-six (36) hours per week and maintain appointment hours as determined by

HOSPITAL, 6.

The PA will make himself/herself available for community service activities, including participation in marketing activities of the practice through speaking engagements, writing and special clinical programs as reasonably requested by

HOSPITAL. 7.

The PA shall participate in all risk management and quality assurance activities and functions in and related to the practice in accordance with HOSPITAL's policies, and PA shall participate in and cooperate with patient satisfaction surveys as requested by

HOSPITAL.

Position Qualifications Minimum Education:

A degree from an accredited

Physician Associate Program Minimum Experience:

Least two years in emergency medicine or related field. Required Course(s)/Training Current licensure in the State of Oklahoma. Current certification from the National Commission on

Certification of Physician Assistants Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
