Job Description

Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity Role:
Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) supporting
Orthopedic Surgery Setting:
Hospital-based, including Emergency Department and inpatient units
Start Date:
ASAP Schedule:
Full-time; work week runs
Sunday Saturday Call Responsibilities:
Serves as primary orthopedic call for ED and inpatient units; participates in weekday, weekend, holiday, night, and 24-hour call rotation with other
APPs Clinical Responsibilities:
Perform patient histories, exams, daily rounds, documentation, and discharge summaries Develop and implement plans of care in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons Utilize Epic EMR for order entry and documentation Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, quality, safety, and documentation initiatives
Procedures:
Diagnostic studies (e.g., EMG, EKG, compartment pressure measurements, X-ray, CT, MRI, bone scans) Minor outpatient and bedside procedures (wound care, tendon repair, I&D, debridement, biopsies, pinning, hardware removal) Orthopedic procedures including joint and bursa aspirations/injections, fracture and dislocation reductions, splinting, casting, and bracing Surgical assisting including first assist and tissue closures
Skills:
Ability to work independently, manage emergent situations, and efficiently document care using
EHR Training:
Epic training required (testing-out option available)
Credentialing:
Temporary privileges available
Requirements:
Board Certified Active Oregon license Full-time availability Eligible for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional privileges NPDB self-query at submission CAQH login/password at offer
