It is an outpatient pain management facility dedicated to alleviating or eliminating pain through personalized treatment plans. We focus on coaching patients to develop skills that make living with pain more manageable and controllable. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant - Certified to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, a passion for patient care, and experience working in complex medical environments. In this role, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, assist in procedures, and collaborate closely with physicians to deliver exceptional care across various specialties. We are also open to hire a recent graduate from an accredited school who holds an Oregon license. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history documentation. Assist in diagnostic evaluations, including ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures. Administer injections, medications, and treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy, ensuring proper aseptic techniques and patient safety. Document clinical findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Athena One, Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Provide patient education on health coaching topics, medication adherence, and discharge planning for inpatient and outpatient populations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU settings, and post-acute care environments to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) from an accredited program with current Oregon licensure. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Athena One, Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with
ICD-9/10
coding and CPT coding is essential. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to acute care and pain management. Experience with procedures including suturing trigger point injections, etc. is preferred. Background in diverse clinical areas such as geriatrics, pain management, and palliative medicine, occupational health, or home care is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform physical examinations accurately and manage complex patient cases effectively.
