  • SUMMARY OF POSITION
  • Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center Neonatology team is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our collaborative and dedicated team.
This position offers the opportunity to practice in a Level II NICU with additional responsibilities in the well-baby nursery and delivery room. A backup neonatologist is available overnight for consultation, to ensure strong clinical support at all times. Following a structured orientation period, the PA will be credentialed and work both independently and collaboratively with attending physicians, peers, and other members of the healthcare team to provide high-quality specialty care to critically ill and newborn patients. The PA may order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging studies, as well as prescribe medications and interventions consistent with scope of practice. This position functions in an inpatient critical care setting, providing comprehensive neonatal care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
(S): + Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program + National board certification + Current Pennsylvania Physician Assistant license (or eligible) + Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Physician Assistant in neonatal critical care + Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
