Job Description

Advanced Practice Provider-Pennsylvania Hospital Position Description :
The Hospitalist group at Pennsylvania Hospital is comprised of 15 physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers. They are seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to care for two subsets of patients: inpatients who have been admitted and stabilized by the house staff, and Observation patients who are admitted to the service from the Emergency Department. The APP is responsible for the daily care of the inpatients and for admitting and managing the Observation patients. The APP will work in close collaboration with a Hospitalist attending. The census that the APP would carry is an average of 10 patients. The hours of the position will be a combination of four 10-hr day shifts and five 8-hr day shifts. One in every four weekends and occasional holidays are required.
Minimum Requirements :
The qualified candidate must be an Acute Care Certified Adult CRNP or PA-C with a MSN. Candidates must be licensed as a CRNP or PA-C in Pennsylvania and must have current ACLS certification. Prior to employment, the APP must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board.
