Job Description:

Bon Secours Mercy Health, the fifth largest Catholic healthcare system in the U.S., is seeking a dedicated and experienced Surgical Physician Assistant to join our Cardiac Surgery team at St. Francis Cardiovascular & Thoracic Associates in Greenville, SC. This full-time position focuses on providing exceptional care in a busy cardiac surgery practice based at the St. Francis Downtown campus.​

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in cardiac surgical procedures, including first assisting in the operating room. Perform endoscopic vein harvesting for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgeries. Collaborate closely with two full-time cardiac surgeons and the surgical team. Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care. Participate in patient rounds, consultations, and follow-up care.​

Qualifications:

Current Physician Assistant licensure in South Carolina or eligibility to obtain. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac surgery with proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
